Children's Poster Contest 2026
Theme "Island Life"
Elementary Art teachers in the Peacock Island Area are invited to submit 20 pieces of their students' best art representing "Island Life".
Winning entry will receive:
$250 cash award for their school’s Art Department
A basket of art supplies to keep
A framed print of their winning entry, professionally framed
100 limited edition prints will be made, for the artist to sign. These prints will be for sale at the ArtsFest. Proceeds will benefit the Community Arts Center programs.
Ribbons will also be awarded: 1st place, 2nd place, Honorable mention

Legend has it, that the Island on which St. Mark's and the Community Arts Center sits was once home to hundreds of wild peacocks!
Whether it's true or not, we thought how wonderful it would be to celebrate the arts with our Island community's "unofficial" mascot!
