July 28th - Aug 3rd

A group of episcopal youth and adults from the Diocese of Mississippi will travel to Port Aransas, Texas for a Harvey Recovery Effort. We are working with Trinity By The Sea Episcopal Church and the Rev. James Derkits, their rector. We will assist with work restoring the Rectory which was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey and other projects identified by their community.  But most of all we will share a ministry of solidarity and presence, from one Gulf Coast community to another.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Gulfport Mississippi will coordinate lodging, meals, tools, transportation and logistics for the trip.

How can you help?

1. Go

There are a few spots left for youth or adults to join us on this journey of help and healing. Parishes sending youth must send at least one adult, and all adults must meet our Safeguarding criteria.

2. Pray

We will be posting regular updates about our trip, but I encourage you to continue to remember the people of the Texas Gulf Coast (and Trinity in particular) in your prayers as they make the long journey back to wholeness as a community.

3. Give

We are accepting monetary gifts to assist with our effort. These gifts will help defray trip costs, and purchase materials or additional tools needed on site.
